  I start the shower with piping hot water and slip off my boxers and step in. I let the water hit every place on my body as I stand under the water for about twenty minutes before I wash my hair and body. I turn off the water and run a towel through my hair and wrap it around my body.

  I walk out of the bathroom and into my room to find none other than Yasmeen herself. I walk to my dresser and grab a pair of boxers and sweatpants, completely ignoring her. When I am dressed, I walk over to my bed and lay down to take a nap before we all have to make the trip to see Claudia and her pack. I do my best to ignore Yasmeen, but she doesn’t make that easy.

  “Hey sexy. Are you ready for some fun?” Yasmeen says as she walks over and grabs my penis.

  “Not in the mood. Go away, I need some sleep before we head over to Coldstone.” I say annoyed while I remove her hand.

  “Oh come on. I can do all the work if you want, baby." she purrs as she tries to kiss me.

  “I said no! Don't call me baby, you're not my mate!” I say as a shove her off.

  “Harper come get Yasmeen before I have to kill her!” I yell for my brother.

  “What has gotten into you? I thought we were on the way to becoming mates.” She asks getting up from the bed.

  “You will never be my mate, get over that. Now go do your training or something!” I tell her as I get up and open the door.

  She walks out just as Harper grabs her arm and drags her away from me. I slam the door and lock it. I walk back to my bed and lay back down. I was so tried. Yesterday was a lot for me. I had to control myself so much when I was around Claudia. It took a lot out of me. All I want to do when I'm around her is put my mark on her and fuck her till she can't walk anymore.

  I've never wanted to fuck someone as bad as I want to with her. I can feel my birth tattoo start to burn and pulse, so I sit up to look at it and I see the dots being to go in and out as if they are fading. It’s the first time anything like this has happened. I am too tired to think about it right now, though. I need some sleep before lunch with Claudia, so I decide to worry about it when I wake up. I drift off to sleep and the next thing I know I’m standing on the shoreline with Claudia standing next me.

  Her beautiful red hair is pulled up in a bun exposing her neck. I see the same tattoo that I saw earlier, it's the same as mine but without the dots. She doesn't say anything, nor does she look at me. I reach for her hand but can't grasp it.

  “Clau, what are you doing out here?” I ask her.

  “It's beautiful out here, plus this is my land.” she replies.

  “What's going with you?” I ask a bit confused.

  “Nothing is going on,” she says and then takes a moment to continue, “do you know that we are meant to be?”

  “Yeah, you are my mate.” I’m getting more and more confused by the minute.

  “We are so much more than just mates; we will be the best.” she says as she continues to look out towards the ocean.

  “What the hell are you taking about? How the fuck are we more than just mates?” I ask turning towards her in frustration. She isn’t making sense and I hate that she is talking in riddles.

  “The more you ask, the more you will be confused, my love. All will be answered today in the meeting, my sweet wolf." she says as she turns to me.

  Before anything else can be said, I am awake. As fast as the dream started it ended by Harper shaking me awake.

  “Dude wake up. We're going to be late.” he says as he steps back.

  “Fuck! That was the most confusing dream ever.” I say rubbing my face.

  Harper looks at me strangely, but he doesn’t respond to what I said. Instead he says, “Get dressed. I'll have everyone get in the proper vehicles, do you want me to drive or are you going to?” he asks as he stops at the door.

  “Thanks. I'll drive. It's not that far from here.” I say getting up and walking to my dresser.

  “Okay, see you outside.” he says as he walks out the door.

  I open my shirt drawer and grab a random shirt out of it and pull it over my head. I really want to walk in there without a shirt, so I can see the look on Claudia's face. God, I can't get her out of my head, she’s even in my dreams.

  I finish getting ready and then walk outside to see everyone in their vehicles and ready to go. I walk over to Harper and peek into the car to see if there is anyone else riding with us. I see Nikko and Ryden in the back seat. I open the car door and get inside to start the car.

  “So, both of you want to ride with us?” I ask letting out a low laugh.

  “They didn't take no for an answer.” Harper says as he slides in.

  “We want to know what went down with Yasmeen. I never saw her so pissed in my life.” Nikko says.

  “Nothing. She wanted sex and I wasn't in the mood, but she didn’t want to listen.” I say as I pull out of the driveway.

  “Damn, what’s up with you, dude? You not wanting to fuck Yasmeen who is the easiest lay in town? That isn’t like you at all." Ryden says shaking his head.

  “Coldstone is the only pack that has a female as their alpha and you just met with her yesterday which is when you started acting weird. Either that chick is your mate, or you are gay and didn't know it.” Nikko laughs, piecing things together.

  “I'm not gay, I fuck too many girls to be gay.” I bark out.

  “So, wait the alpha is your mate?” Nikko asks incredulously.

  “I hear she's fine as hell, too, also that she's badass. Got say I'd hit that.” Nikko says.

  “She's mine! My Mate! Do you hear me?” my wolf, Zeus, growls in my head.

  I grip the steering wheel and increase the speed. I’m trying to calm Zeus down; he can kill everyone in the car if I don't calm us both down.

  “Yes alpha.” they all respond through mind-link.

  “Zeus you need to calm down, Claudia and her pack do not need to meet you just yet. We need Carson back so we can get this meeting over with.” Harper says out loud, placing a hand on my shoulder.

  “They do not touch Claudia or Noah. They are our mate. I kill anyone who hurts them.” Zeus growls out loud in the best English he could.

  “Da frate. Te iubesc.” Harper tells Zeus in Romanian, which means yes brother, I love you.

  “Si eu te iubesc.” Zeus says as he relaxes.

  Zeus calms down and lets me back to the surface as I pull into Claudia's driveway and put the car in park. I am thankful that Zeus didn’t get too out of hand and cause a car wreck. I look up to see people standing outside, eying the cars that are pulling into the driveway but all I see is Claudia.

  Her beautiful red hair is pulled into two braids that fall over her shoulders. Her stunning dark purple eyes have a shining a light in them like they did in the restaurant. I get out and stand beside the car and the rest of my pack does the same. When the boys get out of their cars, they all stand still. I look over at Claudia and her pack and notice that three girls to the right of her are mimicking her stance. I let out a small laugh. Claudia really is the head chick in charge around here. So much so that her friends want to be just like her.

  One of the girls is about the same height as Claudia with dark brown hair falling down her back and with blue eyes. The second girl is a bit taller with light green eyes and light pink hair that’s probably actually brown, judging by her eyebrows. Her hair is in a braid and it falls on her left shoulder. The third girl is also about the same height as Claudia and she has light brown hair that is piled on top of her head with dark blue eyes.

  “Alpha Claudia, this is my pack. My male betas Harper, Nikko, and Ryden. My female betas Yasmeen, Brooklyn, and Ella. The other members are Jarrod, Kegan, Tabitha, and Willow.” I say pointing to everyone.

  “Hi, Alpha Carson. It’s good to see you again,” she has a sparkle in her eye when she talks to me and I love that shit. “This is my pack. My male betas Paul, Marco, Maxi, and Emmett. My female betas Abby, Lavender, Marisol and Bleu. And this is Mikayla, June, and Lorren." she says pointing at
each person.

  The three girls that are standing by themselves look at each other and then at Harper, Nikko and Ryden. I look over to the guys and they are eying the girls as well. Claudia leads her pack into the house, and I give the guys a look to move into the house with everyone else.

  I walk into the house to find myself in a wide-open home. The back of the house is covered in windows and glass doors. The kitchen is set to my left and there are no walls, so it is open and inviting. The cabinets are a cream color and the counter tops are grey, with stainless steel appliances. To my right is an open black steel staircase, behind that is what looks like a laundry room. To the front of me is a family room with two grey sofas and a cherry oak table and a huge flat screen TV.

  Everyone goes to the back of the house and through one of the doors where we all walk out and gather around the back yard where there are tables and chairs set up. We all get comfortable with Claudia and her pack on the left and my pack and I on the right.

  “As everyone knows we are here to discuss business and then we can have lunch and get to know each other more,” Claudia says looking around at everyone.

  For the next hour or so, we talk about the treaty and expansion as well as the benefits for everyone. It was a peaceful conversation and by the end, we all seemed to agree.

  “There is something that I want to bring you all in on since we are all on the same page. We have an issue with the Light side pack. They want our territory and will do everything to take it. We already had to kill three of their members and will have to kill more if we don't get help.” I say bluntly.

  “That does sound like a problem. I will send a few guys over there to see what's going on. I will also call a meeting with their alpha, James, to see if I can come to an agreement with him,” Claudia says looking at me.

  “Thank you. We all appreciate that." I say giving her a nod.

  “You're welcome. Can I speak with you in private?" she asks.

  “Yeah." I say getting up from the table.

  Everyone else scatters, making different groups and chatting with one and another. I walk over to Claudia. She’s standing by a Willow Oak tree. I smile as I get close to her. She’s wearing a blue crop top with a grey pencil skirt with white heels. She is driving me crazy with that outfit and I don't think she knows it.

  “What is it that you want to talk about, Clau?" I ask her.

  “It's about our tattoos. Earlier today, my tattoo started to burn and pulse and then four dots in the same place as yours started to appear and disappear. Then I had a dream where I was at the beach with you, but I was speaking weird and I couldn’t understand it. I asked Lavender to look into everything if that's okay.” she says in one breath.

  “I had the same thing happen to me right before my pack and I came here. I would like to know what all this means, too, so I would be interested in what your friend says." I say running my left hand through my hair. She nods and gives me a small smile; she looks past me and waves her hand towards us. I turn around to see a pretty light skinned girl. Her skin is like honey and her hair is all pulled into a ponytail with a headband that’s pulling back the stray hairs. She is in a red top with a leather jacket and jeans. She walks up and puts out her hand which I take it and give it a shake.

  Chapter 7

  Carson

  I didn't know what to expect but if I can get answers on what the hell is going on then I will take my chances with Claudia's friend. She leads us to a shed of some sort and opens the door. She stands back letting Claudia and I in first.

  “Wow this is nice.” I say as I look around.

  “Thank you. Claudia was nice enough to make me a place where I can practice.” Lavender says with a smile.

  I look at Claudia and she gives me a small smile and grabs my hand. I return her smile with one of my own and squeeze her hand. I look back at Lavender and see that she is lighting some candles and incense. I won’t lie, I am a bit uncomfortable because I’m not really into all of this voodoo shit.

  “I need both of you to lay down and close your eyes. I need you to relax and try to go to sleep.” Lavender says motioning to an area that’s filled with blankets and pillows.

  We both walk over to the blanket and pillow filled area and lay down. I get in a comfortable position and close my eyes. Only a few moments later, I get sent to a whole different world. It looks like the waters by Claudia’s house, but it was different. Where the trees normally are there’s a stone wall in their place. The water looks dirty and the sand looks brown.

  I look to my right to see Claudia has the same confused expression on her face. I look to my left to see Lavender grinning and then she walks over to the ocean. I feel a pull like I need to follow her, so I do. I notice that Claudia does as well.

  “Get into the water,” Lavender says in my head. It isn’t mind-link because we aren’t in the same pack. This is something different.

  I do as I am told and get in.

  “Take off your clothes,” she speaks in my mind again.

  I take everything off and give my clothes to Lavender. Claudia does the same thing, so I am assuming that Lavender is speaking in Claudia’s mind, too.

  I have no idea why she needs our clothes off, but I follow her commands to see if she can figure out this weird connection Claudia and I have. She tells us to go deeper into the water, which we do. Suddenly, my ankle starts to burn and pulse just like it did earlier today. My right wrist starts to burn and pulse, too. I look down to see Claudia's birth tattoo on my wrist going in and out. I feel the need to close my eyes, so I do. I instantly open them again and I find myself in a house that is run down and looks to be abandoned.

  I look down and notice that I am still naked. So is Claudia, which I don’t mind one bit. We’re standing on a dirty floor and I can't see anything beyond the room we are standing in. The room is falling apart. The walls have holes in them, and the ceiling is starting to crumble and cave in.

  “I need you both to hands and think about your childhood.” Lavender says, still annoyingly inside my head.

  We grab hands and close our eyes; I start to think about my mom and how she would play with me and my brother. I think about the time she made up a game that we had to pick out the star that sparkled the brightest. Once we found it, we would have to name it. I smile at the thought and then start to think about my dad and how he would give my brother and I things to do. He told us once that if we wanted to have his bracelet, we had to spar for it and the winner would get it. The bracelet was special because it was the family crest.

  “Now take those memories and let them fuel you to your next task which. I need you to think about how those memories made you who you are today.” Lavender says next.

  I start to think about how both of those memories make my brother and I closer and how we now have similar fighting styles. I also think about how my dad taught me how to fight for what I want and how my mom taught me that it’s okay to have big dreams.

  “Now I need you to open your eyes and stand back to back.” She says in a soothing voice.

  We close our eyes and stand back to back; neither of us has any idea what’s going to happen next. I open my eyes and we are now standing in the woods. The is so much fog that I can't see past my hand. I can feel Claudia next to me, looking around to see where we are.

  “Good, now I need you to think about each other,” Lavender says.

  I think about how beautiful Claudia is and how short and cute she is and how she doesn't let that get in the way of being an alpha. I think about how her long wavy flaming red hair falls around her beautiful heart shaped face and how her dark purple eyes sparkle in the sun but light up even more in the moonlight. I love her light skin making her hair look even brighter and how her mouth curves up when she sees her brother and her eyes change a lighter color, too. I think about how she smells and how she tastes. The smell of raspberries, saltwater and roses fill my senses again and I swear it gets better with each time. She tastes better than she smell
s. It’s like tasting rose water with a hint of sea salt and raspberry jam.

  “Now I need you to open your eyes and look at each other.” Lavender tells us.

  We open our eyes and slowly turn around. I get to see those amazingly beautiful eyes of hers and I melt. I want to kiss those lips so fucking bad. I want to kiss that beautiful neck of hers and I especially want to kiss every inch of her body. I can't help but feel like I should be bowing my head at her instead of her bowing down to me.

  “Now I want you to kiss each other and I mean really kiss each other. Body to body, lips to lips.” Lavender says.

  She doesn’t have to tell me twice. I take my hand and bring it to the back of Claudia’s head. We each take a step closer and kiss. I let out a small moan as our lips part letting each other in. I can hear Claudia let out a moan as we deepen our kiss. I can feel her beautiful tits on my stomach and I decide to pick her up. She wraps her beautiful athletic legs around my waist. When she does that, her kisses get more intense and heated.

  I’m loving this side of her. I matched her intensity as I take my lips to that pretty little neck of hers that I have been dying to taste. I plant a few kisses on it and she goes crazy. I come back to her lips as she wraps her arms around my neck and gently nibbles my bottom lip.

  I let out a moan and pulled her off me, “you definitely want me to fuck you, don't you?" I ask.

  “I--I'm sorry. I lost it.” She says surprised by her reaction to me.

  “I loved it. No need to be sorry,” I smirk at her.

  “That was excellent, now I need you to come back to me. Close your eyes and think of the shed that you entered in. Good, now open your eyes.” Lavender snaps her fingers.

  We open our eyes and I can see that I still have my clothes on and that we are in Lavender's shed. I turn to see Claudia looking very shyly at me.

  “Thank you, Lavender.” I tell Claudia's friend.
